The upcoming Philippine Business Development Summit 2009 (PBDS 2009), themed as “Business Incubators: Setting the Phase for Innovation and Entrepreneurship” will be a ground-breaking event organized by Philippine League for Business Development Welfare, Inc. and PhilEvents Management & Advertising Co. There will be top international and local entrepreneurs, experts in business incubation and innovation, venture capitalists, financial institutions, stakeholders, private organizations, government representatives, policymakers, professional individuals as well as communications and information consultants to discuss the fundamental support to innovation and to learn survival techniques to address specific challenges facing SMEs including the broader business environment. Discussions during the Summit reinforced several key challenges that SMEs face in growing their businesses that had identified through its work with business solution providers from various fields.
PBDS 2009 will be held at the SGV Hall of AIM Conference Center Makati City on May 29 and 30, 2009. The event will have topic sessions on a wide variety of subjects. The delegates will be stacked with national and international experts whose real-world experiences will enlighten and provide valuable information. There will be keynote addresses from Hon. Noli De Castro, Sen. Edgardo Angara, Sr. Undersecretary Thomas Aquino (DTI). The speakers to include Senator Loren Legarda, Dir. Ralph Recto (NEDA), Mr. Sergio Ortiz-Luis (PHILEXPORT), Mr. Octavio Peralta (ADFIAP), Mr. Edgardo Lacson (PCCI) and other important officials and significant representatives from various fields who are tasked in overseeing innovation, technology and entrepreneurship.
